You can select your roommate(s), or you can apply on your own and we can match you with other students. Applicants answer a short list of lifestyle questions to help in the matching process.
Instead of requiring all roommates to sign a joint lease, each person at Lark has their own individual contract, with one person per bedroom. This means you are only responsible for paying for yourself — not your roommates. Even if a roommate moves out or other bedrooms in your apartment are empty, you only pay the rate for your bedroom. The spacious accommodations at Lark are available in 1,2,4, and 5 bedroom apartments, with a private bedroom-bathroom suite for each resident.
Yes, each apartment at Lark has a furniture package that includes a full-size bed, desk and chair and dresser drawers in each bedroom. The living room includes a sofa, chair, end table, coffee table, TV, mini fridge and barstools.
The standard term is August 19, 2023 to July 29, 2024, with payments made in 12 equal installments. Other alternate dates may be available; please inquire with our staff. Click here to see a sample Housing Agreement.
Within 7 days after a Housing Agreement is signed, each resident is required to do one of two things: provide a qualifying guarantor (often a parent), or pre-pay the final 2 installments.
Yes. Residents can pay online 24 hours per day, by credit card or ACH electronic checking. Lark also offers automatic payment by either credit card or checking account — just fill out one page, one time and payments will be made automatically. Convenience fees apply for credit card and debit card payments.
Your living costs at Lark can be covered by financial aid, just like on-campus housing. Any available financial aid funds, after university charges are satisfied, are released to the student for non-institutional expenses, such as off-campus housing. These funds can be used to pay charges at Lark. Normal payment deadlines will continue to apply.
Nearly all the residents at Lark are students at Texas A&M University or Blinn College. The per-person contracts are also designed with students in mind. Nonetheless, Lark is an Equal Opportunity housing provider and welcomes applications from non-students. Family members are welcome as well, subject to occupancy limits. Because of the need to match student roommates, non-students must apply together with enough roommates to fill the desired residence.
Lark has a monitored fire-sprinkler system, along with individually locking bedroom doors. Community courtesy patrols are provided at select times. Management staff are also available 24×7 and can be reached by a 24-hour phone number.
Lark is a pet-friendly community, subject to limits on animals and breeds. The community is smoke-free in all indoor and adjacent spaces. Guests are welcome at all times, subject to the consent of apartment-mates and security considerations. Overnight guests are welcome, with limits on the number of days and guests.
Lark offers garage parking for an additional cost.
Lark is conveniently located within walking distance of Texas A&M University and the Northgate area. The community also offers plenty of bike storage, plus optional on-site garage parking for an additional cost.
